Ventilación mecánica no invasiva para tratar insuficiencia respiratoria aguda en pacientes con VIH y tuberculosis miliar, reporte de un caso y revisión de la literatura
Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino de 32 años con el virus de inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH) y tuberculosis miliar que desarrolló síndrome de insuficiencia respiratoria aguda (SIRA) y que fue tratado satisfactoriamente con ventilación mecánica no invasiva (VMNI). El paciente evolucionó adecuadamente. La VMNI es una herramienta útil en el tratamiento de pacientes con SIRA e infección por VIH en casos seleccionados.
