ABSTRACT
Pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis is an uncommon clinical entity, there has only been 11 case reports in Mexico until 2011. This disease is characterized by alveolar occupation with a calcic component. Bone scintigraphy uses a radiopharmaceutical that fixates to calcium hidroxiapatite, reason why it is useful to detect the calcium component in the pulmonary lesions.
