ABSTRACT
Eosinophilic pneumonias represent a heterogeneous group of pulmonary disorders with different etiologic since idiopathic forms like eosinophilic pneumonia acute and chronic, pulmonary vasculitis, Examples are Churg-Strauss syndrome, immune allergic reactions to fungus, also allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA) and others. In general the diagnosis is centered in the clinical and radiographic presentation and the confirmation is based on bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) where the percentage of eosinophils is high, More of this disorders respond very well to steroid treatment although in vasculitis percentage the responds is poor, reactivation is frequent in the chronic eosinophilias. The present chapter is about: Introduction, Classification and General aspects, Pathogenic of the eosinophilic pneumonias, Diagnosis of the eosinophilic pneumonias, Allergic broncho- pulmonary aspergillosis, Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia, Simple eosinophilic pneumonia, Acute eosinophilic pneumonia, Hypereosinophilic syndrome, Churg-Strauss syndrome, Bronchocentric granuloma.
