ABSTRACT

Second primary tumors also called multiple primary malignant neoplasms (MPMN) are rare. They were initially described by Billroth in 1889. However, since 1974, B. C. Tan reported an increase in frequency. Also, it was determined that the incidence of this entity had increased in recent decades and probably it would be related with elderly age. The aim of this paper is to report two cases of MPMN in elderly patients. First case included a non-small cell cancer variety of bronchiole-alveolar metachronous associated with prostate adenocarcinoma. The second case included a primary pulmonary adenoid cystic carcinoma in conjunction with a prostate adenocarcinoma.
